This is the home of the andean condors, which can be seen at close range as they pass through the canyon walls. From this point 'Cruz del Cóndor', the bottom of the canyon is 1,200 m (3,960 ft) below the edge of the canyon. After this amazing show, we will continue our journey back to the city of Chivay, contemplating the beautiful andean landscape and the fascinating pre-Inca, Inca and Colonial history of the area. The road crosses several small towns founded in the Spanish colonial time and still inhabited by people from the Collagua and Cabana cultures.
